Joachim Bamrud, the executive editor of the Latin Trade Group, is an award-winning journalist and novelist.

He is the former editor-in-chief of Latin Business Chronicle and Latin Trade magazine and has covered Latin America for 28 years for various U.S., European and Latin American media, including Reuters, UPI, The Miami Herald and Global Finance.

He also has specialized knowledge of wireless technology and international business and is the author of Panama Jack, an action thriller set in Panama and China.

Bamrud was born in Spain, grew up in the United States and started his journalistic career in Norway. As an adult, he has lived in Caracas, Venezuela; Panama City, Panama; Mexico City, Mexico and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He currently resides in Miami, USA.
